I am here to read what I want to read, and look at images I like. I am not here to play the Reciprocal-Comment game, read stuff recycled from current news sources, or look at images stolen from the internet and republished to Gather. If I rate your image/article and/or comment, I do so because I want to, and not because I expect a rate/view/comment in return. I comment on only about 1 in 10 articles and images. It's the page views that count for points, not the ratings or comments.
Anything I publish to Gather is my own work, however well or poorly written; however good or not-so-good the image. I won't be upset if you point out errors and ways I can improve. Since I am not a professional writer or photographer, I know there are better writers and photographers who publish here. I'm always willing to learn something new!
